Performance - Outperform Cape Town

When PUMA Crews from around the globe come together to run, party and perform this is what happens.
No fake sweat. Everything is an outtake. This is the story behind today's running crews.

Besides this advertising shooting, we also took the opportunity of being in Cape Town to stay a few days in town in order to involve in the South African life in a real way. It was also for us a unique occasion to share rides and drinks with our friends from The Nine Four, the emblematic Crew fro Cape Town. Founded by Paul Ward, also Art Director for 03:07 (which produced the movie we cam for), The Nine Four is also closely linked to Puma South Africa. The club presents some importan similarities with MRC Paris, as they keep their initial and independent spirit, their own identit through graphic and dedicated contents and a very restraint number of members.

As we were in Cape Town, we were invited to The Ni they got from Puma in the town center) and participated in their Wednesday session along the promenade next to the ocean, which was one of the most beautiful session we have ever made. We were also lucky to meet Katlego Nkoana from the crew, thanks to whom we discovered the typical neighborhood of the city (Woodstock and its famous market, Observatory and its Antique shops, bu also Long st, Bree St and Kloof St and its famous bars and restaurants). Warms thanks from us guys!

Finally, we ended our trip with a hike to the “Lion’s Head”, a famous belvedere on the top of a mountain that overlooks the city from side to side: from the luxury ocean’s bay of Clifton to the poor Townships on the outskirts, by crossing the new trendy and cosmopolitan neighborhoods of Woodstock and Obs. That’s in this perspective that Cape Town has to be considered. A fast changing city with an emerging identity, led by the people who want to make of Cape Town a city wher culture and opportunities merge to create unique initiatives.
